The SteriMax basic infrared loop steriliser provides high speed annealing and sterilising without a flame.

  • Instantly ready to use without any unnecessary warm-up time
  • No danger of combustion on the housing (Cool-Touch)
  • Comfortable touch or foot pedal operation (foot pedal is an optional accessory)
  • Efficient use of energy through Thermocontol Technology
  • Special quartz glass annealing tube
  • Steriliser and the annealing tube are easy and simple to clean
  • Avoids risk to operators skin and eyes

Fast, efficient and flameless loop steriliser to anneal or sterilise inoculation loops and delicate micro instruments. The electrical SteriMax basic is ideal for use in any type of laboratory, anaerobic work environment or laminar flow cabinet. SteriMax basic has a stainless steel housing with a touch safety glass control panel designed for extreme laboratory environments.

Specifically focused infrared light generates an IR-HotSpot in which the inoculation loop is sterilised at temperatures from 750 to 1000 °C after only 10 seconds. The SteriMax basic just needs to be plugged in and will be immediately ready to use, without any unnecessary warm-up period. The highly sophisticated annealing tube is made of special quartz glass. The tube is closed at one end preventing any risk of contamination with pathogenes. The annealing tube can be slid out in a matter of seconds for easy cleaning.

SteriMax basic allows you to fully focus on your core tasks. Hardly any attention is needed for inserting your inoculation loop into the annealing tube – which is easily accessible from the front of the flat glass panel. The sterilisation process starts with just a touch of a finger on the touch panel or by pushing the optional foot pedal. A fixed timer (10 seconds) controls the annealing of your instruments automatically. The course of the sterilisation can be followed from start to end by looking at the inoculation loop symbol. After that the inoculation loop is ready for use.

’Thermocontrol’ is the key element for an efficient use of power. It allows a quick but smooth softstart of the infrared light and a short heating period. Thermocontrol uses the residual heat and automatically shortens the energy supply for the next sterilisation. Whenever you pause, the energy consumption and heat dissipation will pause as well.
