Crude oil (also often called petroleum) is one of the most important raw materials and is used to manufacture a wide range of chemical products such as pharmaceuticals, fertilisers, solvents and plastics. Sample vessels and test methods must therefore meet the highest quality and regulatory standards. Following strict manufacturing processes and in combination with the new Lazer-Fused™ technology, the DURAN® oil centrifuge tubes offer this required quality. Using Lazer-Fused™ technology, markings and graduations are lasered onto the glass surface of the DURAN® oil centrifuge tubes. This provides excellent resistance to aggressive solvents and unsurpassed readability and line uniformity across the entire scale range.
Applications: centrifugation, separation of different particles due to different mass inertia (density), separation of materials by utilisation of centrifugal force, petrochemistry.
Certifications: DURAN® oil centrifuge tubes comply with USP Type I and ASTM E438, Type I, Class A as well as the specifications of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).
Caution: Maximum recommened usage temperature +500 °C.
