Centrifuge tubes with flat caps, MetalFree®
Tubes Centrifuge Tubes
MetalFree™ centrifuge tubes are produced to ensure that key trace metals are kept below one part per billion (1 ppb). They can be used for storage and analysis tasks that require extremely low levels of most common metals. These tubes are produced with a proprietary process that virtually eliminates common metals.
- ATP-, RNase/DNase-, and Endotoxin-free (non-pyrogenic)
- Caps are pure natural polyethylene
- Patented anti-smear writing surface and 3 colour printed graduations and reverse reading scale
- Validated Sterilization (ISO 11137) for use in Research and Medical labs
- Polypropylene USP Class VI resin, free of DiHEMDA, Oleamide, and BPA
- Freezable to –80 °C, and autoclavable
MetalFree™ centrifuge tubes and caps are made of 100% medical grade CFR21 compliant ultra-low metal resins. This means there is no risk of resin contamination often found in recycled or commodity-grade resins. These tubes can be used for analysis tasks that require extremely low levels of most common metals. Target applications include environmental and water analysis, soil testing, food science, x-ray crystallography, clinical extractions, and separations.
MetalFree™ Natural Flat Caps are natural and semi-opaque. Made of virgin, metal-free high density polyethylene resin, these caps have zero colorants or dyes added. They feature precise vertical ridges for 'easy grip' ergonomic handling, even with gloves. The low profile cap design allows for easy labeling and storing tubes in racks without overcrowding.
Certified free of metals to 1 part per billion of 21 common metals and elements: Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, Copper, Manganese, Aluminium, Silicon, Nickel, Vanadium, Sodium, Phosphorus, Cobalt, Chromium, Potassium, Lithium, Lead, Selenium, Cadmium, Mercury, and Arsenic.
